Feathering your Home with Style
My signature style celebrates the unexpected – whether it’s pairing a boldly painted vintage credenza with contemporary art, layering patterns with confidence, or creating spaces that feel both timeless and thoroughly modern. Like assembling a complex puzzle, I thoughtfully layer colors, textures, and eras to create rooms that feel collected, not decorated. For busy professionals who appreciate maximalist style but don't have time to source and style every perfect piece, I handle every detail of bringing your bold vision to life.
I’ve always had an “eye for design” and I have consulted on many types of projects over the years. I love helping others discover their own personal style even if it doesn’t perfectly match my own. I believe in creating a space that reflects YOU and makes YOU happy, not decorating for others.
If furniture painting services are what you are seeking, I can assist you in creating a design for your furniture piece(s) and consult you every step of the way from choosing a paint color to small details like selecting new hardware and whimsical drawer liners. I specialize in using chalk paint where you may see brush strokes, inconsistencies in color, and wood shining through, however, I can guarantee a finished product that will look professional and cohesive. There will be beauty in the imperfections and charm in every detail. If a more “finished” look is your style, I am, happy to help you achieve that by using a more self-leveling paint that results in a more “even” finish. Meet Kristin
Kristin has always possessed a creative streak from the time she was young. Once she and her husband, Jeff, had children, she was blessed with the opportunity to stay home and raise their two girls. Looking for something of her own, she decided to launch The Shabby Peacock in 2017 after her good friend, Lori, gave her the opportunity to experiment with painting and refinishing some furniture. Through trial and error, she realized, with the support and encouragement from friends and family that she had the talent to mold this into a successful business where she could not only work from home, but also utilize her creative abilities to beautify peoples’ homes. In 2024, she founded Kristin Keeney Interiors LLC and by doing so, is fulfilling a life-long dream of hers by pursuing her true passion of designing interior spaces for her clients.
